Description
Cefoxitin sodium is a cephamycin antibiotic, which is produced by the Streptomyces Streptomyces lactamdurans Cephamycin C (Cephamycin C), the semi-synthetic system of a new type of antibiotics, the mother nucleus and cephalosporins similar, and Antibacterial properties are similar, is also used to be included in the second generation cephalosporins.
Role and use
The product is semi-synthetic second-generation cephalosporins, characterized by Gram-negative bacteria have a strong antibacterial effect, with a high degree of resistance to β-lactamase. Antibacterial spectrum includes E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, indole-positive Proteus and Serratia, Klebsiella, influenza bacilli, Salmonella, Shigella and so on. Staphylococcus aureus and a variety of Streptococcus also have a good effect. Clinical mainly used for sensitive strains of respiratory infections, endocarditis, peritonitis, pyelonephritis, urinary tract infection, sepsis and bone, joint, skin and soft tissue infections.
